Roof Types
Architectural Re-Roofs
Architectural shingles, sometimes called laminate shingles, utilize a dual-layer construction which gives them weight and strength to better withstand extreme weather, as well as added roof dimension for overall curb appeal.A new roof is a cohesive, coordinated system, consisting of 5 key components. In order of installation, they are: 1) ice and water barrier, 2) underlayment, 3) starter shingles, 4) roofing shingles, and 5) hip & ridge shingles. We call the complete system, Secure Choice™.
Installed together, the roof performs better, and can be eligible for enhanced warranty coverage through either of our partners (Malarkey roofing products or GAF)
METAL ROOFS
Metal roofing is very lightweight, weighing about one quarter as much as tile roofs and nearly half as much as asphalt shingles. Metal roofing is generally more expensive than asphalt roofing, but cheaper than tile or slate roofing. It has a long life and can even lower heating and cooling costs because it reflects heat from the sun. If properly installed a metal roof will usually last as long as the house with manufacturer warranties often lasting 50 years.
TPO ROOFS
TPO membranes are a blend of polypropylene and ethylene propylene polymers and are reinforced with polyester. TPO systems are among the fastest growing residential and commercial roofing products and have gained broad industry acceptance for their many performance and installation advantages. TPO single-ply roofing membranes provide exceptional resistance to ultraviolet, ozone and chemical exposure and incorporate heat welded seams. TPO systems are usually mechanically fastened or fully adhered.
